Even just five or 10 seconds (yes, seconds!) outside in the morning sun makes me instantly just take a deep breath. I feel my body relax and I feel so free because I am not restricted by the ceiling or walls of a home, workplace, or vehicle.
Getting outside in the morning sun makes me feel reconnected to the universe because I feel it fill my heart and soul with positive energy. I feel my heart overflow with love and happiness, which expand out into the world.
The morning sun gives me strength and confidence to accomplish good things and send positivity out into the world. It makes me feel alive and well. It reminds me to be grateful that I have been gifted another day on earth. We start anew with a clean slate--another chance to make it our best day and live life to the fullest.
Taking a moment to savor the morning sun teaches and/or reminds us how to be present in the moment. It's a chance to practice the exercise of living in the present instead of looking back at the past or into the future. It provides peace as well as calm. It helps us remember that all is well and that we can handle anything that comes our way.
If you are not able to go outside in the morning sun, I strongly suggest you at least point your face toward the sun each morning--even if you can only spare five seconds. Besides feeling an amazing tranquility, you may even absorb the best Vitamin D available to us. Nothing compares to the vitality that the morning sun provides to us.
